About the Club

Who we are: Heidelberg is a Northern suburbs based volleyball club in Melbourne, Australia. The club’s origins can be traced back to the work of a teacher, Mr Fricsons, at Heidelberg High School in the late 1960’s. The club was officially formed in 1970 and has created a long, proud and successful history. The club is still making history in the 2010’s.

What we do: The club competes in the Victorian Volleyball League, the highest level of open aged volleyball in Australia. The Club also has a strong  junior development program, creating a clear and successful pathway for junior players to be involved in volleyball over many years.

Where/when we train: See the Training page

How you join: Depending on the level of volleyball you want to play you can either:

  • Join our junior development program;
  • Play in one of our social teams;
  • Train with the club on designated nights and play in tournaments;
  • Train and play at the highest possible level in Victoria.

  1. hi guys,
    just wondering although were currently half way through the vvl season, i was wondering if it is possible to come down and train with you guys? i played div 1 vvl for latrobe valley and have recently relocated to coburg and am currently trying to find a vvl club.

    • Come along on Tuesday night and while you’re there you can chat to Jonny K. He’ll sort out whether you have to pay training fees. When you get to PEGS just look for the Men’s team and ask for Mark or Karl and we’ll point you in the right direction.
