Lauren Taylor and her partner had two wins on day one in the Under 15 division
Patrick Fowler and his partner had one win and one loss in the Under 15 Division
Ruby Valentine-Bell and her partner had two close losses (1-2 each match) in the Under 17 Division
Lara Adam and her partner had two wins and one loss in the Under 17 Division
Aleks Ilich and his partner had three wins in the Under 17 Division
Mikayla Adam and her partner had one win and one loss in the Under 19 Division
Alek Ryan and his partner had two wins in the Under 19 Division
Louise Alford and her partner had one win and one loss in the Under 23 Division
As well as State beach representation, we have a number of Bergers recently announced in National indoor teams:
Mikayla Adam in the Australian Junior Women’s team
Mackenzie Lowe in the Australian Junior Men’s team
Lara Adam in the Australian Junior Women’s team (along with Ana Milovac from the Club’s junior development program)
And a special mention to Hannah Martin (an ex Heidelberger) who has been selected in the national senior women’s team.

Div 2 Women – we will allocate 1, 2,and 3 to the West, North and east teams once we know which team is travelling to Horsham in round 4. No later than Wednesday night.
Unfortunately the organisers have had to cancel this tournament due to a clash with the SSV 15 and Under Trials. Stay tuned for more junior tournaments and matches
What a great night at the Club’s new clubhouse, Basco, 307 Sydney Road, Brunsiwck. Over 55 players and family attended the evening with Tapas, drinks and lucky door prizes. It showed how healthy this club is in terms of numbers and culture. Keep your eyes out for the next club function at Basco.

There is no training at PEGS next Tuesday night (10 March)
Reserve and the three Div 2 Women’s teams will play each other at Darebin Community Centre (857 Plenty Road) Reservoir on Wednesday 11 March from 7pm
Mens training on the three Thursdays, 12th, 19th and 26th March, is at St Johns on Blanche Street, Preston.
All VVL players and their families are invited to the Club uniform presentation night is at BascoBrunswick (307 Sydney Road) from 7pm. Our first of many social gatherings.
VVL round one starts on 21 March.
Premier, Reserve and Div 2 Men and the Reserve Women will be travelling to Horsham in Round 4 for matches on the Saturday and Sunday.

And a special mention to Emily Faulkner, one of our junior academy coaches, who has also been selected to represent Victoria at the junior beach champs.
Just goes to show how good the Heidelberg Volleyball Club Junior Academy is with assisting young players with their development. Congratulations to all of you.

All Reserve Men and Div 2 men
All interested players are invited to attended training this Thursday at Santamaria College (Separation St, Northcote) from 7pm..
The Reserve Men will also train Tuesdays at PEGS from 7.30pm with the Premier Men.
The Div 2 men will train on Tuesdays at PEGS from 6-7.30pm only at this stage but we are looking for a Thursday night venue for the guys to train.
Players wanting to trial for the Reserve Womens team are invited to join training on Thursday nights at Catholic Ladies College (Diamond Street Eltham) from 7pm.
Div 2 Women East will commence training at Heathmont College from tonight starting at 7.30pm
Div 2 Women West will commence training at PEGS next Tuesday from 6-730pm.Div 2 Women North will commence training at Darebin Community Centre (857 Plenty Road) next Wednesday from 5.30-7pm.
We welcome all returning 2014 players, and any new payers wanting to join the Club for the 2015 VVL season.
What a great showing at the first training session last night. Heidelberg is well on the way to finalising both its Premier Men’s and Women’s Teams for 2015 VVL. The teams will continue to trial on Thursdays at Santamaria College for men and Catholic Ladies College for women, and concurrently on Tuesdays at Penleigh Essendon Grammar School, over the next few weeks. And with a good number of returning players, and a strong group of new players joining the club this year, the 2015 VVL season looks very promising for our Premier teams.
