Congratulations to all our Heidelberg players who competed in the Australian Junior Volleyball Championships this last week in Canberra. Every Berger brought home a medal. Great effort.
And now our senior athletes are readying themselves for the first weekend of the Australian Volleyball League. Good luck to all coaches and players involved in AVL 2015. Get along to cheer for our Victorian teams as they compete against the best senior teams in Australia. Check the AVL website for match details.
Our men’s program will commence pre-season training on Wednesday 14th October at Darebin Community Centre (857 Plenty Road, Reservoir) from 7-9.30pm.
All players looking to play for Heidelberg in the 2016 VVL season (Premier, Reserves and Div 2) are expected to attend. GO BERGERS!

Congratulations to the Heidelberg-Ivanhoe girls and boys teams that played in the Bendigo Junior Tournament on Sunday. The boys played with enthusiasm in their first tournament together and the girls (some of whom played in Div 2 VVL this year) won silver. Well done also to the coaches, John and Tanya.
Also our junior girls who compete in the Western Region Volleyball League took silver home last Friday night. Great effort across the season. Well done to Trevor and the girls.

This week is the last week of training for the entire club as we break for the school holidays. So see you all back in the week commencing the 5th of October.
The club’s junior program continues to produce very good volleyball players. This is not just our opinion. The selectors of the state and national programs also agree. Six out of the 10 girls representing Victoria at the recent National Under 16 School Girls Championships, came through our junior development program.
Lauren Taylor and Lara Adam have been invited to the Australian youth Girls Camp in December. Well done girls.
Jay Anthony has been invited to the Australian Junior Boys Camps in October and December. Well done Jay.
The Club also has eight boys and girls in the Under 17 and Under 19 state teams. Good luck to you all at the upcoming National Junior Champs in Canberra.
