The Reserves Women finished in a three way tie for second place, defeating the eventual gold medalists in the round robin matches. Unfortunately they missed the final on set percentage.
Congratulations to Gretel Schroder for winning the MVP award for the Reserves Women division.
The Reserves Men featured some of the future talent of the club, gaining valuable experience despite being severely “hamstrung” by their older teammates. Don’t worry James, I won’t mention any names.
There was also a strong club connection in two of the non-Heidelberg teams at the tournament. Blash Inc., made up mostly of Heidelberg Div 2 Men, finished runners up in the Reserves Men. Padua Sharks, featuring Simon Peake and three former Bergers, finished runners up in Premier Men.
